Ascension Day

May 12, 2013 Speaker: Missio Dei Church Series: Stand Alone

Topic: Topical Passage: Acts 7:54–7:60

This week we stepped out of the current progession in our Acts series to celebrate Ascesnion Day. Within the church calendar, we celebrate Christmas, Good Friday, and Easter. Yet what about Ascension day, the last timeline piece of the Gospel?

On this day we took a look at the hope that Stephen the Martyr had in Jesus Christ. Stephen, as he was being stoned to death, had his eyes fixed on the Lord, and worshiped till he could no longer breath. Without Jesus Christ being the firstborn from the dead, Stephen would not have had hoped in what he was going through. Yet the same hope is available to all who beleive in Jesus Christ.
