Friends with Benefits?

This morning in my devotions, I read through 1 Corinthians 11:17-28. It was a tremendous reminder of the importance of Christ, and Him alone, remaining central to Missio Dei Church. Normally this section of Scripture is used as instructions about the Lord’s Supper and to prepare oneself for communion, but as I was sitting in Paul’s words something jumped out at me; Paul was addressing something that we (culturally) struggle with and will continue to struggle with....Keep Reading

Hopes for Missio Dei Church

There are several hopes that we as the leadership of Missio Dei have for this next season of ministry as we transition to our Missional Outpost in New Lenox. The church is an identity of God’s “called out” and “gathered people,” whose foundation is God’s revelation and the work of Christ (Matt. 16:13-20). Therefore, we want to be faithfully obedient in the proclamation and demonstration of the gospel (Acts 2:42-47). Please be prayerful about these hopes....Keep Reading
