FAQ
Have questions? We have the answers!
We are a Reformed Church. We hold to the Westminster Confession of Faith, the Shorter and Larger Catechisms as faithful summaries of the Bible’s teaching.
We are a Presbyterian Church. We are ruled by elders, godly and accountable men whom we trust and who seek our spiritual good.
We are a Worshipping Church. We desire to gather into God’s presence each Lord’s Day to hear His Word, sing His praises, and grow in the grace and knowledge of Jesus Christ.
Sunday morning services begin at 9:30 AM. 360 South Park Street, Manhattan, IL 60442
We encourage people to come as you are and dress in what feels most comfortable.
When you arrive you can expect to be greeted with warm smiles and an open door. Services begin promptly and there are greeters willing to help you find what you need and answer any questions you might have.
We believe that worship is the pinnacle of our week. Our service is grounded in the Word of God from beginning to end. It is dialogical in its structure and is led by our elders. We sing songs and hymns which use Scriptural language and theology, recite historic creeds, pray prayers saturated by Scripture, and listen to the Bible read, taught and applied. We remember the drama of our redemption through the celebration of the Lord’s Supper each week. To aid the congregation in our time of worship, we provide a bulletin with the Order of Service.
We are all about connecting with God and each other. There are four main ways to get connected: Attend a worship service, attend our church inquirers classes, join us for a fellowship meal, come to one of our ministry events. If you haven’t already done so, take the first step and simply join us for a worship service.
As a church, we invite children of all ages to be a part of the growing, thriving ministry of our church. We provide space for newborns and toddlers in our nursery but also strongly encourage parents to make every effort to include their children for the entire time of corporate worship. Our covenant children are a blessing from the Lord and should be included in the worship of God’s people to our covenant king.
